Performance making through stilt-walking, creative movement and puppetry

The Bird Project was a collaboration between Isabelle Kirouac, Robin Lough and teachers Anita Lau and Lisa Chang Dar Woon, inspired by Birds on Parade (Carmen Rosen, Cathy Stubington, Paula Jardin). While developing a series of interdisciplinary performances inspired by local birds, francophone and anglophone students of grades 3-4 learned how to walk on stilts, studied a local bird with guest ornithologist, embodied their movement patterns and behaviors, created bird choreography inspired by murmurations and migration patterns and made original bird puppets.
