Beavers Beavering explores beavers’ world through an immersive site-specific performance, featuring a family of beavers industriously moving about the site, collecting branches, chewing, preening, feeding and building dams and lodges. Through their unspoken gestures, the family of beavers invites audiences to become active participants, building and shaping dams and lodges that will transform and grow during the course of the day. What will you do when the beavers need your help? This project raises awareness of local ecological health and wetland ecosystems, connecting artists with the local community, and creating memorable interactive experiences for festival goers of all ages.
